This week I had the opportunity to get a sneak peak tour at the amazing Pelican Hill Resort that is opening on November 26th in Newport Coast. Let me tell you, it is impressive, if not over the top! I had my flip cam with me and took a few videos during my tour (please forgive the technique…it was my first day with my new video toy!). Take a look at this view which likely represents the worst view available from the Resort accommodations (seriously - all accommodations are situated by design to have a fabulous view and I was informed that the unit I was viewing was one of the worst views):

(post update - sorry…I’ve been asked to remove the video’s…email me if you’d like further information)

Here is a video of the interior living space on the three bedroom Villa’s (again, forgive the amateur cinematography!)

In addition to the general resort statistics…

  • 204 Bungalows
  • 128 Villas (2, 3 or 4 bedroom residences)
  • 3 restaurants & 2 café’s
  • Spa with 22 treatment rooms
  • 2 Tom Fazio golf courses

the resort also offers an unbelievable list of details that are sure to appeal to any guest and includes:

  • Your own butler
  • For any stay over 4 nights you get your own monogrammed sheets and pillow cases (they will be stored for you free of charge for your next visit)
  • Each of the rooms is equipped with individual, unique California art pieces
  • The same cleaning/maid staff will take care of your room during your entire stay
  • A “beach valet” which will get you easily to and from Crystal Cove State Beach
  • A circular Coliseum Pool that is 136 feet in diameter and hand laid with thousands (something like over 400,000) Italian glass tiles.
  • A Villa clubhouse for the exclusive use of Villa guests that includes its own fitness center, clubhouse, and pool area.
  • Your own washer and dryer (not that you are expected to do your own laundry - leave that for the butler if you wish).
  • Parking at your unit (not that you need your car - the Resort has a fleet of 6 cars including 5 Mercedes and 1 Bentley)
  • Full security and privacy (headed by the former head of security for Dodger’s Stadium)

I was able to see first hand the different Villa options that are available and for the traveler looking for an alternative to a second home, or a vacation that offers the feeling of residence with all the amenities of a top-tier resort, this is truly amazing option. If you are considering a second home in the Coastal Orange County area, there is a strong mathematical argument for this resort as an alternative option (more details on this to come in a future post…if you can’t wait, feel free to email me).

The grand opening of the Resort is November 26th and there is still an opportunity to be part of the experience. There are also some great package deals available for Thanksgiving…complete with a full Turkey dinner cooked for you right in your Villa! I can help you to get booked in a Bungalow or Villa or coordinate a tour of the resort pre-launch for qualified parties.

Now, as for the price…

The Villa properties are available on an introductory rate for between $1,750 and $2,600/night. Prices will go up after March 15th, and again go up for the prime summer months. Of course, the resort will work with you for extended stays. And, there may be an opportunity to secure a Villa at an introductory rate for a non-introductory time frame (after March 15th). Please be in touch with me for further details.

As an EcoBroker who works at for a green brokerage in one of the loveliest places on the planet, it is likely not surprising that I am happily on the green-bandwagon.  Why wouldn’t I be interested in helping to preserve this wonderful planet and environment that we all call home…particularly when it yields places of such scenic beauty like Coastal Orange County

One of the best parts about being affiliated with Surterre Properties and the EcoBroker program is that I have the opportunity to help home buyers and sellers not only “green” their living situation, but more specifically, “green” their move.  I was recently featured on the Sundance Channel with one of the green moving vendors I’ve had a chance to meet through my green interests and wanted to share with you this video which showcases his service which is a great way to green your move (the video also gives you a little clip of me in full animation!).  The clip is about 3 minutes long:

:

Another great way to green your move is to hire a green moving company.  My clients and I have been very impressed with Go Green Moving.  They offer outstanding customer service at a competitive rate and run their trucks on bio-diesel fuel.  See how easy it is to go green during your move!
